Information
Sophie Kahn studied at Goldsmiths College, University of London, graduating in 2001 with a BA in Fine Art and Art History, and completed a Graduate Certificate in Spatial Information Architecture at RMIT in 2003. Sophie’s work engages with the role of the image in the expanded field of post-photographic imaging. She has presented individual exhibitions at Studio 12, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces and Collingwood Town Hall, 2003; 24Seven, 2003; West Space, Melbourne 2002; Linden, Melbourne 2002 and the Ivy Hopes Mezzanine and Cathedral Arcade, Nicholas Building, Melbourne 2002. Recent group exhibitions include Gertrude Studios 2003 Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne 2003; Nineplusnine: Interior, Spitz Gallery, London 2001; and The Tomorrow Gate, britart.com space, London 2001. She has work in private collections in Britain, Australia and the United States. |
